Outstanding is an understatement. As much as I disliked Le Reve,Dan Gans was the exact opposite despite the fact that the twp theaters at Wynn and Encore are immediately next to one another. He has added contemporary performers to his old time rat pack and Johnny Carson impressions. His singing is simply amazing. It is impossible not to enjoy this show, but remember it is music based and is therefore loud at times.

Awesome show for ALL ages!
Danny Gans does everything from George Burns to John Mayer. His 4 movies monologues were incredible, and his 12 days of Christmas ... my husband and I laughed so hard we cried!

My husband and I are nearing 40 so we're not exactly spring chickens, but while I will not deny that the guy is talented, we hated the show...had I been closest to the aisle we would have left but my husband was and decided to get his money's worth out of making me squirm for another 45 minutes.

Some of the material is fantastic - a couple of the jokes were funny. This could be boiled down to a 20 minute show - the rest of the material was either really, really stale or just not good at all. I can do a better James Taylor impersonation and I cannot sing.

Again, the guy is talented and what he does well he does really well...but the rest is just rubbish in our opinion.

We also expected that the seating would be nice and comfortable since it's a newish property...not so much...the seats were a bit cramped, no cup holders (even Lance Burton had cup holders).

I cannot in good faith recommend this...if it were an afternoon show for $20 or a free lounge act I might rave about it, but as it is, I cannot.

Description

Headlining the Encore Theater is "Entertainer of the Year" Danny Gans -- the epitome of Las Vegas entertainment. Gans has won virtually every award Las Vegas has to offer. He has been voted Singer of the Year, Comedian of the Year, Show of the Year and the Best All Around Entertainer eleven times.

With more than 200 voices in his repertoire of impressions, no two performances are alike. The show mesmerizes and amazes audiences of all ages with comedy, singing and celebrity impressions. Be sure not to miss Danny Gans, the new show in the Encore Theater.

Gans hadn't planned to be an entertainer. His boyhood dream was to play third base for the Los Angeles Dodgers and, after high school, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals. The Chicago White Sox drafted Gans after college, where he was an All American at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Sometimes, opportunity knocks more than once.

Two years later, his life long dream came true as he signed that contract and went to the minor leagues to start his career as a professional athlete. But, not long after it all came to a crashing halt as a career-ending injury turned his life upside-down.

With love and encouragement from his friends and family, Gans shifted his focus from baseball to entertainment. He is blessed with a marvelous singing voice, the ability to make people laugh and a rare presence that would manifest itself in his new career.

Gans spent 15 years traveling throughout the United States, working at his craft and perfecting his repertoire of impressions. At the same time he became one of the most sought-after performers in the prestigious corporate world, often playing to stadium-sized crowds for major, international companies such as IBM and McDonald's and was the favorite of the Fortune 500 list. Fellow entertainers such as Bill Cosby and Natalie Cole raved about Gans, and it became apparent that he was destined to be a star.

In 1995 Danny was starring on Broadway in his one-man show. However, between New York and 200 concert dates a year, he found himself longing to be home with his wife and three children. So, when the opportunity to move his show to Las Vegas presented itself, where he could settle down to a life with his family, Gans knew it was the right move.

In doing so, Gans' commitment to his family had been doubly rewarded; the family is happy to call Las Vegas home, and Gans has taken the town by storm. On top of his record-breaking crowds and consistently sold out shows, Gans has been showered with accolades and awards.

In May 2008 Danny Gans celebrated 12 years in Las Vegas, the last eight of which have been spent in his own 1,250-seat theater at the Mirage. And, once again, Gans was named "Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year" for the 11th straight year in a row.

In February of 2009, Gans returns to the Wynn family, when he debuts his award winning show at the new Encore Theater. Gans has found his new home in the gorgeous, first class resort, where he will continue to break box office records and delight capacity houses.

He may not be playing third base for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but he's hitting home runs nightly. As he prepares for the next step in his illustrious career, Danny Gans is truly living a dream come true.
