The performance was amazing. It was over 3 hours long but never a dull moment. I would love to see another play by this cast. However, the location of the theater was a little unexpected. The main entrance to the Onyx Theater is through an adult/fetish shop. I later found out they have another entrance in the back of the building (facing Sahara) where you can avoid the shop. I will definitely be attending future performances.

I believe Katrina Larsen is one of the best actresses I have seen. She makes Shakespeare more understandable than many plays I have seen, and Hamlet is more than a character in a play. He is a heroic and tragic figure that comes alive through her dramatic portayal and interpretation. I left the play with several questions and it made me think. The entertainment value combined with the thinking process made this play very enjoyable. I did not care much for the theater. This play belongs in a much better venue with a much bigger audience.

Although it may not have been impeccable, I think it was an accomplishment with Shakespeare that, at a minimum, rivals anything I have seen in Las Vegas in the last decade. The use of space was absolutely brilliant. The acting was a little uneven, but I tracked the dialogue and that is a great task in Hamlet. Some of the acting was outstanding. Similarly, Hamlet was a little uneven but she pulled it all together and the great moments overshadowed the sloppier moments without a doubt. The theatre seats about 100. You enter the space through a festish costume store... so if that is going to bother your sensibilities, be warned. I thought it was fun.
It was worth sitting three hours to experience the fun with ghosts and fencing.
