In the winter, it is too cold to sit @ the top of the bus. If you sit downstairs/inside, you can't see clearly out of the windows because of the advertisements that are posted on the windows. However, check your ticket stubs for great deals.

Don't waste your money -- this isn't the "deal" it appears to be. Company agent didn't know what to do with my purchase confirmation and wanted to copy the credit card number I had used to purchase the ticket. The agent was clueless and said she hadn't before seen anything like the Goldstar confirmation and "at that price". Providing my credit card number might have been okay if it hadn't been for the hundreds of passers-by strolling by on Las Vegas Blvd. I felt it was smarter to skip the whole thing rather than provide my credit card number.

We rode 4 of the buses while in Las Vegas. 1 of the buses had a live tour guide and we enjoyed it very much. 1 of the buses had recorded tour information and music (which we listened to with earbuds provided each rider) and that was fine. But the other 2 buses were having problems with their sound systems and we heard no information about the sights we were passing. We had to wait nearly 30 mins for 2 of the buses to arrive at our stop and never got to complete the Red Loop tour because we would have had to wait nearly 45 mins for the next bus to depart. So it's very hit and miss. If you have no other time commitments (dinner reservations or show tickets) and can wait for a bus with a working sound system then I think it's worthwhile. If you want to ride the bus after 6pm you must pay an additional $15 for the Night Tour (this is not clear on the website.) Complete tour of both loops takes 3 hours.

We were very disappointed in the bus tour...without a tour speaker and no headphones offered so we were on our own and never had been to Vegas before...the driver was alone with no other help and was stressed with the whole thing....We got to see the outside of all the casinos but would have been so much better with a tour guide (speaker) which most of the other buses had.......would not recommend this tour...

About the Ticket Supplier: Open Top Sightseeing - Las Vegas

There wasn't anything new about double-decker buses running up and down the streets of London, but it was curious to see these buses running up and down the streets of Paris. Thanks to Mr. Abdallah El-Azm, a clever and fun way to view one of the most romantic cities in the world made its debut in the 1980's.

What made Les Cars Rouge even more wonderful was the fact that the roof was chopped off, thus allowing guests to really see Paris! Eventually Les Cars Rouge expanded to Rome, Italy and Les Cars Rouge was on its way. It was a novel way to sightsee in Paris, France and Rome, Italy on a big red double-decker bus with an open top.

At the same time a couple of Scandinavian entrepreneurs were starting up the very same concept in Washington DC - Open Top Sightseeing. The two companies started a dialog and in 2006 eventually merging together under the Les Cars Rouge umbrella.

As the popularity of the company grew so did Les Cars Rouge locations. In 2007 Les Cars Rouge launched Open Top Sightseeing in San Francisco, California and in July of 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Les Cars Rouge plans to open more locations in the future. So if you see a big red double-decker bus in your neighborhood it just might be Open Top Sightseeing.
