First of all, you do NOT have to go to the MGM for tickets. They print them out right there for you at any of their regular stops. The people are very friendly and explained everything. Also, it runs until midnight not until 5pm and it comes every half hour.

Having grown up in SoCal, I have been to Vegas many times so a tour was not high on my agenda. However, I was with someone who was visiting for a short time and decided this was a great way to get an overview for them. It really was and in the end I enjoyed it too. The bus goes into places (back sides and alternate entrances) to the casinos that were interesting to see. There is a nice stop at the Vegas sign where you can get off the bus to take photos.

If you have plans to visit Las Vegas, this is a must do! Because I can not walk a far distance and I would have never seen the whole strip, this tour bus was excellent. It took you up and down the strip. Around the back way, and it even told you the history of Las Vegas and who and how Vegas came about. Not only was it fun, but it was very informative. And yes you can get on and off at any time of the tour with no problem for two consecutive days. The only problem that I did have on here was that I rode on top where it is open and my brand new Polo hat flew off of my head. So if you plan on riding on top please hold on to your hats. But other wise it was GREAT!!! Gold star you have done it again.

Please note that this bus NO LONGER STOPS at the MGM Grand. We had to go to the stop outside of Bally's to exchange our voucher for tickets. It was a nice way to get to some of the hotels we hadn't seen before, e.g. the Wynn. Again, remember that it doesn't stop at all the hotels, just some of them. It's not good transportation if you're in a hurry to get somewhere, but OK for general sightseeing. The recorded tour narration was informative and the people were very helpful.

About the Ticket Supplier: Open Top Sightseeing - Las Vegas

There wasn't anything new about double-decker buses running up and down the streets of London, but it was curious to see these buses running up and down the streets of Paris. Thanks to Mr. Abdallah El-Azm, a clever and fun way to view one of the most romantic cities in the world made its debut in the 1980's.

What made Les Cars Rouge even more wonderful was the fact that the roof was chopped off, thus allowing guests to really see Paris! Eventually Les Cars Rouge expanded to Rome, Italy and Les Cars Rouge was on its way. It was a novel way to sightsee in Paris, France and Rome, Italy on a big red double-decker bus with an open top.

At the same time a couple of Scandinavian entrepreneurs were starting up the very same concept in Washington DC - Open Top Sightseeing. The two companies started a dialog and in 2006 eventually merging together under the Les Cars Rouge umbrella.

As the popularity of the company grew so did Les Cars Rouge locations. In 2007 Les Cars Rouge launched Open Top Sightseeing in San Francisco, California and in July of 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Les Cars Rouge plans to open more locations in the future. So if you see a big red double-decker bus in your neighborhood it just might be Open Top Sightseeing.
