Las Vegas Little Theatre presents Neil Simon's I Ought to Be in Pictures. Herbert Tucker is a struggling L.A. screenwriter who abandoned his family in New York family 16 years earlier. Daughter Libby arrives on the doorstep of the father she barely remembers, convinced he can jump-start her film career. Dispensing guilt and demanding love, Libby forces Herb to accept the responsibilities of parenthood, and come to terms with his on-again/off-again relationship with girlfriend Steffy.

Fine performances, sets, lighting, and the like. A heavier that typical Simon play, but an enjoyable evening at a great price!

Directed by Paul Thornton

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon is one of America's most productive and popular dramatists. Famous for such classics as The Odd Couple and Barefoot in the Park, his autobiographical trilogy, Brighton Beach Memoirs (1983), Biloxi Blues (1985), and Broadway Bound (1986) presented a touching portrait of an individual, his family, and the world around them. With these plays, Simon found his greatest critical acclaim, and for his 1991 follow-up, Lost in Yonkers, Simon was awarded a Pulitzer Prize.

I Ought to Be in Pictures stars Rachel Lanyi as Libby Tucker; Scott McGee as Herb Tucker; and Amy Turner as Steffy.
