Description

Recently completing his 500th show in Las Vegas to another standing room only audience, the charismatic Tom Stevens is heralded by his growing legion of fans as the best singer-impressionist performing today. A native New Yorker, Stevens began his career appearing in clubs on the East Coast. His incredible likeness of Dean Martin’s looks and crooning abilities were put to the true test when he performed at the fourth annual Dean Martin Festival in Dean’s hometown, Steubenville, Ohio. The overwhelming response to Stevens’ impression from not only Dino’s fans, but the people who knew Dean when he was Dino Crocetti, provided Stevens with return engagements to headline the festival for all the years to come. At the festival, Stevens had the pleasure of meeting and singing with Dean Martin’s daughter, Deana Martin Griffeth, who enthusiastically approved Stevens' portrayal of her father, saying she had “never seen anyone look and sound more like my daddy.”

After crisscrossing America performing for large corporate events where his classic style of entertainment is in great demand, Stevens finally answered the call to move to Las Vegas. From the moment Stevens begins his opening number, it is apparent that Las Vegas is where he is destined to be and that his appeal is ageless. Currently performing his one-man show in showrooms all over Las Vegas and around the country, he pays tribute to more than 25 singers such as Tom Jones, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Anthony Newley, Willie Nelson, Julio Iglesias, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Cher, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra and, of course, Dean Martin.

Along with his remarkable singing impressions, Stevens' comic wit incorporates many other celebrity voices such as Jerry Lewis, Archie and Edith Bunker, Jimmy Stewart, Bill Clinton, George Burns, Paul Lynde, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, Carol Channing, Bill Cosby, Robert DeNiro and many more.

To capture every nuance of those to whom he pays tribute, Stevens spends countless hours perfecting each impression. He focuses on every aspect of the artist he’s portraying, both vocally and physically. His characterizations are so uncanny that he’s often accused of lip-synching. He takes this criticism as a compliment to his many years of hard work. Stevens' rewards are the sustained standing ovations that punctuate the end of every performance.
