Although I enjoyed the comics very much in this venue, the drinks and the snacks are very expensive. Plus the seating arrangements are not the best.
We had 3 comedians.
The First one was boring.
The Second one was fantastic. He was phenomenal. So funny.
The third one was the WORST. I think I can do a better job than he does. I never hear his name again. Ever.
Seriously. It would been better if the second one takes over the entire show.
He was great.
Overall, $20 is not worth it. Don't go to the show.
Three comedians. The emcee, first up, was only adequate, but the two that followed were hilarious. The guy from Boston had a bit about home schooling -- he was both prom queen and king, never had a snow day, teacher (mom) mailed report card to mom (teacher) who was surprised. Third guy, VEGA, had a routine about good people -- first albinos, then midgets. You never hear about albinos or midgets committing crimes, etc. Good show, intimate room so you felt a part of the show. Worth the money.
The performers were horrific. I wish I could've gotten my money back. The headliner was worst than the host and almost no one clapped. I think it was a combination of a bad week and a bad night to go to the show.
The first two comics on the bill (Tracy Skene and Brian McKim) were entertaining enough, but the headliner - John DiCrosta - was HILARIOUS. We haven't laughed that much in a long time...
Second time we went here. It is a good value, the room is small, all seats are pretty good. The box office was quick to get our tickets to us.
The seating at the Riviera Comedy Club was odd. Sat us along a wall at a table and expected us to crane our necks to the left or right to see the stage? Needs some rethinking there!
First comic was supposed to get us warmed up I suppose. Not real successful at that and told jokes I had heard from one of my goofy employees that was years old. (Glaucoma joke... can't see my ass coming into work.) Second act was good, Shawn something. Cute act - very likeable guy. And the third? Made up for the first one by far! Alex and Tim - "the Mexican and the Irishman" who became friends at the bar. Ironically enough, Alex is blind so they had some great timing and hilarious jokes with sound effects. We loved it! If I had paid more for the tickets, I might have been upset but for the price I was pleased with the last 2 acts. Thanks Goldstar!
This was a good show for the price.
The headliner was good and the 2nd guy was okay, but the first comedian was not funny at all...he needs to keep his day job.
It was a great show! All of the comedians were good and the venue is great as well.
