Las Vegas Little Theatre presents this 1995 comedy by A.R. Gurney (Love Letters, The Dining Room). Greg and Kate are empty-nesters in the big city. Greg's career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate's career, as a public-school English teacher, is beginning to offer her more opportunities. On a walk in the park, Greg is adopted by Sylvia, a bouncy, frisky lab and poodle mix. Soon, Kate feels that she is losing Greg to his adoring new friend. This imaginative take on midlife crisis leads to lots of laughs and thoughtful insights on love, marriage and jealousy. Gillen Brey directs Brian Scott, Sharon Phalon-Smith, Frank Gambino Jr and Penni Mendez as Sylvia.

I loved the production. Especially the wonderful interpretation that Penni Mendez brought to her "dog." She was amazing in a very challenging role.Written on Jan 23 2012
