This show took place at Hooters Hotel in a relatively small and dark room, which gave an impression of being the kind of place entertainers go when they are out of options. But Pete Wilcox took the stage and made it his with a fresh take on impersonating Elvis. He told stories about meeting Elvis and came around to shake hands with everyone in the room. We liked him and his musicians, which to my surprise were excellent. Probably not in everybody's taste but I thought the whole experience was very endearing.Written on Oct 31 2010

Outstanding entertainer...though I was disappointed not to see the beloved white jumpsuit as expected of any Elvis show. Pete gave a bit of a twist to some songs...even a Hip Hop rendition was great! Fabulous musicians (a rocking drummer!) and backup singers!Written on Apr 20 2010
Pete is a talented entertainer with a warm personal touch. He sang some songs I have never heard from other impersonators...loved it!

I went to this because you can only see so many comedy shows and circuses. You know you're going to see an impersonator so that kind of sets your expectations. The show was much better than anticipated. The band was great and the sound was excellent. Pete's singing voice was so close to Elvis that if you closed your eyes, you'd swear Elvis was singing. The King Lives stars Pete Willcox. Wilcox has been doing tribute concerts of Elvis for over forty years. He has portrayed Elvis on television more than any other actor. Wilcox was featured in Cheers, LA Law, Murphy Brown, Designing Women and numerous other T.V. series. In this tribute show expect to see Willcox hit the stage just as Elvis would, if he were still here today! Pete will perform some treasured classics, but will cover other songs that may have been recorded by Elvis later in his career. This is a must see show for any fan of the King of Rock ‘n Roll!
