The beloved children's book from the ever-inventive Dr. Seuss comes to life onstage at Aurora Theatre, as a talented cast of eight actors and puppeteers tell the tale of the world's most mischievous cat. When Mom steps out to run some errands one rainy afternoon, Sally and her brother soon find themselves playing unwitting hosts to a cat, decked out in a signature bow tie and towering red and white hat, and his havoc-wreaking cohorts: Thing One and Thing Two. Despite objections from the family's talking goldfish, mayhem ensues ... and it won't be too long before Mom makes her way home. Directed by Jaclyn Hoffman, The Cat in the Hat is full of wild and wacky fun for young ones. Learn More

June 16, 2012: Flashback to the '70s Concert
It is easy to laugh at '70s fads like mood rings, Mr. Microphone, the pet rock, and 8 track players. However, some magnificent music comes from that iconic decade and the Metro Jazz Club will be giving the big band treatment in their throwback tribute to such legendary recording artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, and many more favorites. Come decked out in bell bottoms and fringe, because with all the Rock, Disco and Soul things are about to get funky at Aurora Theatre.
Led by jazz sax man Gary Dalton, the band is accompanied by a sultry chanteuse, the magnificent Maxine Cummins and crooner Jason Joines. The concert will also feature recording artist and one of Atlanta’s busiest musical theatre performers, Eric Moore (Christmas Canteen, Once On This Island at Aurora Theatre). Mr. Moore is a soulful tenor whose voice will lift your spirit and take you back to the '70s in style.
