Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park is both an ingenious inversion and sharp-eyed update of A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's classic play about race and real estate. In 1959, a white couple sets off a community controversy when they inadvertently sell their bungalow to the area's first black family. Half a century later, roles reverse when a black couple clashes with a white couple who wants to buy and then "gentrify" the same house. The language of this Pulitzer- and Tony-winning play pulls no punches, but the conversation it inspires is worth it. Getting there was a little confusing. The Google Maps said the theater was on the right side of Pike St, so I missed it the first time. It's actually on the left side (going south towards 316). Also, there are signs for the theater posted on Crogan St.The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown travel • Mar 14 2014 star this tip starred

Took my two youngest daughters, ages 3 & 7mos., to see this play for their first time in a professional theatre setting and I must say the venue was wonderful as was the performance, which we look forward to attending more shows here at the Aurora Theatre along with the rest of our crew! So glad it all worked out for us to have had this opportunity to check out something hidden to us in our community until now. Thanks, Goldstar!
