The voice of one of alt-rock's biggest bands, the Spin Doctors, Chris Barron continues to ply his trade singing heartfelt, stripped-down rock and roll songs while mixing in old favorites like "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Two Princes." While Barron has a new backing group in the form of the Time Bandits, touring allows him to utilize the many friends he's made in the music business to help create a jam band vibe. The Bellamy Brothers, who have performed together for almost half a century and had 20 No. 1 Billboard country singles, headline a concert. Founded in 1968 by brothers Howard and David Bellamy, the duo first has success on the pop charts, with 1976's triple-platinum single "Let Your Love Flow." They moved on to country music, scoring their first chart-topping hit with 1979's "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me", and went on to rule the country charts for almost a decade, with hits like "Redneck Girl" and "Old Hippie." Chris Barron is many things to many people: the voice of the Spin Doctors, the face of the jamband scene, an MTV superstar, an East Village troubadour, the author of some of the 1990s’ most enduring radio hits, a father and a teacher. But these days, the Spin Doctors singer is most at home when he’s simply playing rock and roll. 

“You tend to write yourself into the places you want to play,” Barron admits. “There was a time when I was writing bedside songs for the walls of my room, but these days I am writing what I like to call ‘bar music for big theaters’—stripped down, honest rock and roll like The Last Waltz meets Exile on Main Street.”
