Mannheim Steamroller's Tom Sharpe
Mannheim Steamroller's Tom Sharpe Plays a Benefit Concert
Tom Sharpe is the drummer for the GRAMMY-winning group Mannheim Steamroller as well as for Dennis DeYoung, former frontman of Styx. Before he heads off on Mannheim Steamroller's famed Christmas tour, he's coming to Lisle for a benefit concert to support Chicago Family Directions, promoting literacy in the Chicago area. At this concert, Sharpe will play with his own band, performing his original compositions. His percussive symphonies are a sonic and visual feast for the senses, blending his orchestral background with world music instrumentation and cinematic imagery. The Tom Sharpe concert experience draws you into the music, with its wild, tribal sound.
