I bought my husband a ticket to this for his birthday. It was an expensive ticket. When he got home I was eager to hear about how it was. First, the dining was horrible. Then, the dining seating was not good. he could barely see the stage. In addition, the people around him, "more rude wives of whatever county types, talked through the entire show. Disappointed in Wente.Written on Aug 28 2009

My husband and I enjoyed this immensely. Our seats were in Premium Dining and I, being short, was worried I wouldn't be able to see very well but our seats were great! My husband was not very familiar with Chris Isaak's music but really enjoyed his performance. The venue is great and we had the nicest weather to boot! We were already talking about going again.Written on Jul 22 2011

I bought these tickets as a 50th bday present for my husband. Even though we've lived in Pleasanton and Livermore for over 12 yrs, we've never been to a concert at Wente. Wow, have we been missing out! Fantastic venue - meal was delicious and our server was quick in bringing drinks over (so no need to stand in line at the various bars). We got there at 7pm and still had enough time for dinner, desert, drinks and walking around the grounds. The parking has been increased tenfold and they have plenty of disability parking. I can't walk and use a cane in these situations - every person we encountered helped in dome manner. We were offered a golf cart to take us to our seats (which thru a call to Wente ) were reserved on the side and at the front for easy access. Our usher walked us to the front of the lune then insisted on carrying a plate for me and getting all my food. I've had such service in this setting. Because of where we parked, from getting in the car to home was 7 mins!! Do bring a blanket as the valley cools down and the winds pick up later in the evening.Written on Jul 22 2011

Description
In the course of Chris Isaak’s career, he has released nine extraordinary albums, twelve singles, been nominated for two Grammy Awards, acted in several motion pictures and starred in his own critically acclaimed TV series. His legendary shows with his longtime band Silvertone (drummer Kenney Dale Johnson, bassist Rowland Salley, and guitarist Hershel Yatovitz) have entertained tens of thousands of people for over two decades. Even his hair has its own fan club. And yet, this highly praised, platinum-selling artist has never released a greatest hits album. “I guess I’ve just always been too busy making records,” Isaak says.
Best Of Chris Isaak takes listeners on a gratifying musical journey through the Stockton, California, native’s two-decade career, showcasing his stellar songwriting; smooth, dusky baritone (and tender falsetto that will alert your dog); and effortless brand of stylish retro-cool.
The album also displays Isaak’s many different musical personas: the rockabilly rebel, the brokenhearted crooner, and the breezy acoustic storyteller. And to what does he attribute the longevity of his career? “You know, I’ve never tried to jump on a trend, and I’ve never had to jump off of one,” he says. “I try to do what feels right for each song. So I never have to go, ‘Well, no more disco for me.’”
About the Ticket Supplier: Wente Vineyards
After learning about winemaking from Charles Krug, C. H. Wente, a first-generation immigrant from Germany, founded his own winery in 1883. Recognizing that the warm days, cool nights and gravelly soils of the Livermore Valley were ideal for growing grapes, he purchased 48 acres and planted vineyards. In 1918, C. H. Wente's sons Ernest and Herman joined the business, with Ernest managing the vineyards and Herman acting as winemaker. The company was later passed on to Ernest's only son Karl, and in 1977, Karl's young son Eric took the helm. Continuing the 125 year legacy, the winery is managed today by the Fourth Generation of the Wente family, Eric, Philip, Carolyn, and the Fifth Generation, Christine and Karl. The winery has grown to include over 2,000 acres of vineyards in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay and 800 acres in Arroyo Seco, Monterey.
