See Tears for Fears under the stars and enjoy a delicious pre-show meal, as the new wave legends play an intimate outdoor concert at Wente Vineyards. The English band first hit the scene in Britain in the early 1980s, scoring a No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts in the United States with their second album, Songs from the Big Chair. The iconic songs "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" became synonymous with the '80s. After disbanding in 2000, the duo reformed in 2004, extending their success to sales of more than 24 million albums worldwide. Some tickets include a pre-show dinner in the award-winning Wente Vineyards Restaurant, while others include a wine country-style buffet dinner served in the picturesque outdoor theater space.

1500 people attended Tears For Fears first performance in their new concert tour. Some rough edges, some new material, and a great time overall. Excellent setting in the intimate vineyard, great food, huge selection of drinks and a nice evening out overall. The crowd was not disappointed by their classics (Shout, Head Over Heels, Everybody Wants to Rule the World) and even 2 versions of "Mad World" ... Can you believe they're 50 years old already?

Back to the 80's!! Being of British descent, it was too good an opportunity to miss these guys especially in the exquisite atmosphere at Wente's. Great set list with their classics intermingled with the new stuff that was pretty good .. some great tunes that are worthy of download from your favorite music store. They have definitely not lost their ability to write and perform even at the tender age of 50!! Great venue, great music, great food ... what more can you ask for?

About the Ticket Supplier: Wente Vineyards

After learning about winemaking from Charles Krug, C. H. Wente, a first-generation immigrant from Germany, founded his own winery in 1883. Recognizing that the warm days, cool nights and gravelly soils of the Livermore Valley were ideal for growing grapes, he purchased 48 acres and planted vineyards. In 1918, C. H. Wente's sons Ernest and Herman joined the business, with Ernest managing the vineyards and Herman acting as winemaker. The company was later passed on to Ernest's only son Karl, and in 1977, Karl's young son Eric took the helm. Continuing the 125 year legacy, the winery is managed today by the Fourth Generation of the Wente family, Eric, Philip, Carolyn, and the Fifth Generation, Christine and Karl. The winery has grown to include over 2,000 acres of vineyards in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay and 800 acres in Arroyo Seco, Monterey.
