I didn't find it funny. Several of the characters were annoying and in the end, it was back to the beginning, nothing really changed. Almost a waste of 2 hrs. Not well written, though the actors did a decent job.

Attended Bedroom Farce at the Long Beach Theater with my wife. Nice, funny play about troubled relationships. I was really impressed by the performance of Brenan Baird as Malcolm. His performance was so in the moment, it was as if he wasn't acting, he was just being up there. Kudos as well to Sarah Blevins and Geraldine D. Fuentes who were also stand outs.

On the downside, my opinion, is that unless a production has a good, full time dialog coach, they should avoid shows with UK accents. This show had prominent problems: one of the characters sounded more american than english, another (the father) switched mid sentence sometimes between a Southern English to Scottish accent. It is also important to match regional accents. Should the father, mother and their son have different regional accents?

Also, pet peeve: The name Davies is pronounced day-viss (as in "Davis") in England. Americans have always mispronounced Ray Davies name (from the kinks), or that of Russell T. Davies (creator of Queer as Folk and Doctor Who show runner). Tbhis specific mistake happened here. Again, the need for a really awesome accent coach.

THE CAST DID A TERRIFIC JOB, THE STAGING WAS VERY CLEVER.
THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT, BUT WE WILL BE ATTENDING MORE OF THESE PRESENTATIONS.
