Join acclaimed actor of stage and screen John Lithgow (3rd Rock From the Sun, Dexter) for a touching and humorous tribute to the power of storytelling in the autobiographical one-man show Stories by Heart. Interspersing his own journey as an actor with two classic stories that were read to him as a child, the Tony-, Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor gives a tour de force performance, inhabiting a dozen characters with zany abandon. In P.G. Wodehouse's "Uncle Fred Flits By," a fretful young Englishman is taken on a wild afternoon's escapade in suburban London by his irrepressible uncle. Ring Lardner's "Haircut" is a darkly comic yarn told by a gossipy barber in small-town Michigan. Learn More

Drumline Live was a big surprise. We're former band geeks and wanted to see lots of marching band style entertainment. We were definitely served a decent dose of formation performance but the show was much more than that. There were constant shifts in costumes and styles. At one point the stage went dark and the performers were wearing glow in the dark outfits that looked like stringy skeletons. So, for anyone who thinks it's gonna be "just" a marching band on stage, you're definitely wrong. It was that for about 25% of the show.
There were also educational slides and voiceover to set the scene several times, like for the speakeasy era. There was a hip hop segment and all performers are so freaking talented its unreal. They all are master musicians, but also singers and really accomplished dancers. The cast is truly amazing.
This is a show for everyone of all ages, all backgrounds and all tastes. We hope they'll swing through the L.A. area again. Drumline Live is simply outstanding.
