I did attend this play and loved it totally. My dear friend Jeff Rice was in it and I would have liked to have seen more of him, but still and all, he was good. I am a great admirer of Yvonne Robertson and adore her in anything she does. I was very pleased to see her appear at the door. Good ol Mr. Kimber was a riot.Written on Mar 09 2009

Good Old Fashioned Theatre appropriate for the ENTIRE FAMILY - no violence, no adult language, no sex - just lots of laughs! Karen Bukolt as Annabelle Fuller shines in this performance directed by Gregory Cohen. Long Beach Playhouse never disappoints for entertainment and last night was no exception. The three of us had smiles on our faces from the opening welcoming announcement through curtain call and enjoyed going back to 1940 as we watched the Fuller Family move from city to country. Get your discounted tickets here online and take the kids and grandkids to the theatre! You won't be disappointed!Written on Feb 28 2009

Very enjoyable, old fashioned comedy. Acting excellent as always. Also piano player was excellent Sat night. Wonderful evening, and not much more than the cost of a movie.Written on Mar 09 2009

Description
Newton Fuller has always dreamt of having "a little place in the country to call his own." Newton's dreams come true when he purchases a dilapidated farmhouse, where, according to legend, George Washington stayed the night. When a city-dweller prepares to make such a move, complications ensue and Newton is no exception. A classic farce, George Washington Slept Here will leave audiences asking for more.
