The Mainstage is a U shape theatre and the play takes place in the middle of the U. You are up close and personal with the actors and the atmosphere is very unique. If you like civic theatre and enjoy actors whose hearts are in acting for the sake of acting and its enjoyment, then go see this play. It starts out a little slow and part of the reason is because it takes some adjustment and getting to the players being so close. Once you sit back and relax you will enjoy the show, especially the main character, Mrs. Puffin.Written on Dec 17 2007

A terrific show in a great venue! There's not a bad seat in the house. The acting was tremendous and the dialog funny. I would sincerely recommend this to anyone looking for a very pleasant and entertaining 2 hours.Written on Dec 10 2007

It was very enjoyable, light weight and amusing. This theater is small and you really get to experience the acting up close and personal.Written on Dec 10 2007

It’s Christmas time and the Fordyce family is planning a holiday wedding. The excitement and goings-on take a curious turn when an eccentric unknown woman, Mrs. Puffin, appears on the doorstep with the pronouncement that the wedding is not going to take place.
