The play was entertaining for me as I had not seen it performed before, but, I agree with most of the other reviewers in the miscasting (age and accents) of some of the cast members.

Great play, great performance, great atmosphere.Written on Jun 15 2009
We loved the small and intimate feeling of the theater. You are almost part of the play being so close to the actor.
The piece was funny, witty and still had a touch of drama and it all kept us entertained all night.
Live music at inter-mission and a full bar and snack bar too!
Lots of free parking available on side streets around the corner.

I am very familiar with this play. I think the director made some very unfortunate choices. Lady Windemere was too old, too assertive, too modern. Lord Windemere and Lord Darlington were both way too young. Mrs. Erlynne was vulgar. The worst choice was Mr. Haddon; he' supposed to be a son (not a grandfather) and his Australian accent was laughable, as was the butler's accent. Much of the blocking was good, however.Written on May 18 2009

I agree with the previous reviewer's comments about Mr Haddon's age and accent; however, we thought the butler - whose accent was indeed 'laughable' - was hilarious and thought he was very clever to reduce an audience to snorts of laughter with so few lines. Lady Windermere was so beautiful, she was a joy to watch, and we thought that both she and Mrs. Erlynne were first rate actresses. We weren't familiar with the story and we ranged in age from 84 to 19; we all thoroughly enjoyed the clever plot, the Oscar Wilde witticisms and the surprisingly moving ending. It made for an enjoyable night out and was worth seeing.Written on Jun 08 2009

More Information About Lady Windermere's Fan
Description

Chronicling a series of misunderstandings and deceptions in the high society world of Victorian London, critics and audiences alike were charmed by Wilde's trademark wit and intelligence.

In his letters, Wilde claimed that he did not want the play to be viewed as "a mere question of pantomime and clowning"; he was interested in the piece as a psychological study.
