Seventh-grader Rudy Pazinski, a Polish-American boy is too bright for his own good. He asks probing questions and is not easily intimidated by Catholic Sister Clarissa who makes it clear that Rudy's job is not thinking-its memorization, especially of the catechism. You will love the Pazinski family as they try to make ends meet and deal with human nature in their home over the tavern.
