This was well acted but the bad language was objectionable and the constant dickering between husband and wife caused me to not want to wait for the second half to see if or how it was resolved. We left at the intermission.Written on May 30 2006

Description
In A.R. Gurney's Sylvia, Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child raising in the suburbs. Greg's career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate's career, as a public school English teacher, is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Enter a new young female influence into Greg's' life: Sylvia, a dog he found in the park -- or that has found him. Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife.
