Suggested by Henry James' novel Washington Square, this play, set in 1850s New York, tells the story of a shy and plain young girl who falls desperately in love with a delightful young fortune hunter. Her lack of worldliness prevents her from realizing that the young man proposing to her is not entirely drawn to her by her charm.

On to Broadway for the cast of this little gem! Thank you so much for a wonderful afternnoon. A joy to watch!

The only problem were the row of "Blue Hairs" in front of us that kept trying to give away the plot as every one of them had seen the movie. The constant narration was annyoying but what could you do?
