During the holidays, Knott's Berry Farm is filled with the magic of the season as America's first theme park wondrously transforms into Knott's Merry Farm. This 160-acre park is a great place to make holiday memories, with lavish decorations, live entertainment, a crafts fair and, of course, Santa. There's even a sensational ice show and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony hosted by Snoopy himself. Once you've built up an appetite with all that fun, feast on the park's famous chicken dinner and boysenberry pie. This offer lets you go during the holidays to experience the Knott's Merry Farm festivities, or you can wait and visit during the first three months of the new year to enjoy park favorites like the Ghost Town, Boomerang, Calico Railroad, Bigfoot Rapids, Surfside Glider and all sorts of live shows. I was very skeptical about Dark Harbor, because I had heard so much negative feedback about Shipwreck, the previous years QM halloween event. Walking in you feel a little creeped out because you are literally walking into a shipping container. From that point on, was superb. I have never really been super scared at a halloween event, because I love gore and horror and I suppose I am jaded. This event SCARED me. You become disorriented and walk around a little aimlessly getting scared all the way until you find your way out, I loved it! "The Cage" in the dome is the scarriest maze I have ever been in. Submerged, also extremelly scary! The effects were top notch, the actors really were perfect, they had senses of humor and were helpful when my wife and I got turned around. The only bad thing was the flooring. Not that it's a bad thing, there were just times where I couldnt even see my feet and that freaks me out, I like to see where I'm walking, but that added to the fact that I was scared. All in all, the best halloween event I have ever attended. My wife screamed no less than 30 times and she HAD been to the previous Shipwreck and even said this was WAY better. She said she had never screamed at Shipwreck, this one got her over and over and over again. One suggestion, if you think it is going to be crowded GET THE FRONT OF THE LINE PASS! We went on a Sunday and we got out of there within 2 hours. But they do space you out so you get the best experience, so expect lines.
