Two iconic American rock groups will share the stage at the Fabulous Forum this summer as Cheap Trick joins Boston for their "Heaven on Earth" tour. Known for their killer pop hooks, Boston sold millions during the '70s and '80s with their catchy version of prog rock. Their self-titled debut was one of the fastest-selling pop debuts in history, spawning three hit singles that became American classics: "More Than a Feeling," "Long Time" and "Peace of Mind." At the same time, Cheap Trick was perfecting the delicate balance between power pop and hard rock that made them a major influence on future punk, metal and alternative bands. Songs like "I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender" and "Dream Police," along with their dynamic live performances, sealed their reputation as arena rock gods. Now, 40 years into their careers, the two bands are still going strong. The "Heaven on Earth" tour is traveling the country in support of Boston's sixth studio album release, Life, Love & Hope, and this is one of a select few appearances where Cheap Trick will be performing with them. The parking is very disorganized at MTW. Be sure to allow time going in and getting out. On the Atherton side, they are usually line up into the street. It appears there is only one line, but there is normally two. There is just no sign or person to let you know . You may see someone a block away swing their arms, if anything.'S Wonderful info • Apr 21 2014 star this tip starred

I love choral music so it is difficult to find fault. The quality was very good but one of their major pieces was a strange and disturbing substitution of the massacre at Columbine with a handing out of flowers instead of bullets from a "poem" by Simon Armitage.

Very eclectic program. This event was attended by people with a sophisticated appreciation of choral music, much like aged rock concert attendees. I am a neophyte re choral music so I liked some of it and was not tuned in to some of it. That was...continued
One of America’s most renowned choral ensembles, the Westminster Choir, has performed with major orchestras under virtually every internationally known conductor of the last 70 years, including more than 300 performances with the New York Philharmonic alone. Now join them for an evening of beautiful music at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.
