Chaz Palminteri was amazing! A Bronx Tale is one of my all time favorite films and he portrayed every character so vividly that you didn't even have to see the movie to capture the different images of the characters. I wish I had seen the play before the movie just so I could use my imagination! Palminteri has so much energy and such a huge range that it was an honor to watch him perform. There is one scene towards the end where Sonny and C are arguing that is absolutely amazing! He switches his inflection and body language so quickly in the heated argument that it is literally like two completely different people playing two roles. Awesome performance and great set direction as well!

chazz is awesome. he moves, ya know? i mean he's packed with energy. he claps, and snaps and dances and sings....i was just really impressed with his whole stage presence. his whole craps game bit, i could watch every night of the week. the play was remarkable and very different from the movie, which i also enjoyed.
i was once an extra in one of his other movies, but too shy to say "hey" cuz he's always in his "zone". but when you see him do all his little kid impressions and whatnot onstage, you get the feeling that he's just a big kid at heart and having fun. today.. i betcha if i did sonny's 3 finger point at him he'd break out in smile. what a play, what a guy...ohhh!

An autobiographical romp through the life of the young actor centering on his relationship with the two formative influences of his youth. The problem was that the performance is getting a bit stale and gives the feeling that one is watching an actor warm up with some routine acting exercises.

C was great. What I expected, but no more...perhaps should have lowered expectations. Venue was an icebox. A fun night out, although not a big fan of Wadsworth Theatre.

I DIDN'T LIKE THIS SHOW, I LOVED IT!!!!!! AND SO DID ALL THE PEOPLE WHO JOINED ME TO SEE IT. CHAZZ P. WAS SIMPLY AWESOME. HIS PERFORMANCE NEVER FALTERING.
GROWING UP BACK EAST (SO. PHILLY) AND LISTENING TO HIM TELL THE STORY OF HIS YOUTH BROUGHT BACK SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF MY OWN...THE DOO WOP MUSIC, THE GUYS AND GIRLS ON THE CORNERS, THE REFERENCES TO FAMILY,AND GOOD FAMILY VALUES. IT WAS SIMPLY WONDERFUL. I MUST MENTION, I SAW THE MOVIE ABOUT 5 TIMES, OWN IT, AND I THOUGHT NOTHING COULD COMPARE TO IT, BUT THE SHOW LAST NIGHT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THE MOVIE. I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY...AND AM SINGING ITS PRAISES TODAY TO EVERYONE IN MY OFFICE. I WISH IT WAS AROUND LONGER, I'D SEE IT AGAIN.

He did a good job, and although I usually enjoy one-person shows, it wasn't my favorite. The rest of our group liked it better than I did.

I saw this when Chazz brought it to LA 18 or 19 years ago. The movie version was also great, but this one-man show is what true theater is all about. This time, I took my 14 year old son (as my brother recently took his son when it played on B'way), and the kids were equally wowed. I heard the interview on NPR, and related to how he brought it back for his kids to see. By the way, we all were able to see Eddie Mush (and everyone else) on stage...Chazz, how you made that happen is just remarkable! Bravo!

It's not the best of stories, but Chazz is the best of actors. He's a non-stop ball of energy throughout this no-intermission show. Great seats, but bundle up because the theater is cold.
