Members Who Went Said:This revival seems to suffer from over admiration of the original 1975 production to the point where it never soars. It is still set in 1975, but doesn't fully commit to its time period. Leg warmers are gone, as well as the 70s hairstyles and wa-wa guitars. The result is a bit flat, although there are still come moments that soar.
melanie sharp rock n roll mamacita A Chorus Line has always been my favorite broadway musical. I saw the first touring company in the late 70's and fell in love with the show. The production at the Ahmanson is top notch! The cast is excellent and the show still filled my greatest expectations - I would totally see it again! I was excited from the first bar of the music to the last flick of the hat! This was also my first experience with Goldstar, which I was extremely satisfied.
Cheryl Morris I saw this play when I was a child. All the songs came back to me. The dancing and singing were terrific. Everyone in our group, 8 people from ages 14 to 82 thoroughly enjoyed the evening. |
