Influenced by the greatest songwriters and smoothest crooners of the 20th century, Johnny Coppola takes to the Rockwell stage to perform his favorite tunes from an era when no man would leave the house without a necktie and fedora and women dressed to kill. Coppola's dynamic quintet, led by Grammy Award winning pianist Bill Cunliffe, presents this special evening of swinging songs plus tender ballads, infused with a dose of Rat Pack-inspired poetry and charm to spare. Along with timeless selections from the Great American Songbook, Coppola will also perform several "neo-standards" he's penned in the style of the jet age's most talented performers. Learn More
You can sit at a regular table or at an elevated bar table. Either provides a great view of the performance. The performance takes place in various parts of the room. Lighting is great. Sound and acoustics are magnificent. If your view is blocked by part of the architecture, it's only for a few minutes. Also, there's so much other activity going on that you're not really missing the center of focus. Everything feeds into the entire performance.ROAR info • Sep 16 2014 star this tip starred
Getting into the theater is not the traditional mode. No matter what your abilities (handicapped accessibility is at the rear), you enter via the back door. To do otherwise means you literally crawl over all the people already seated in order to get to the back of the room and be told to stand in line at the back door.ROAR info • Sep 16 2014 star this tip starred

I love this show. The dinner was great. The remodel of Vermont where they tore down the wall separating the bar from the restaurant was inspired. The space just opened up so much to increase the movement and drama of the show. Every singer was incredible. My seats were literally 2 feet from the central stage. I actually got kicked a couple of times (not hard) from the singers because I was so close. The live jazz band and DJ for the party after the show were also great. I would definitely go back during the year to the other shows and will definitely be back for NYE.
