Six-time Grammy winner Amy Grant and contemporary Christian music star Michael W. Smith bring their 2 Friends tour to the Greek Theatre. Having played keyboards for Grant on her 1982 Age to Age tour, Smith now shares equal billing with his longtime friend in a powerhouse concert. Amy Grant is an American music icon who has blurred the lines between genres and impressed fans and peers with her honesty, vulnerability and creativity. Whether laying her soul bare in her 2008 book Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So Far or exploring faith and family in her diverse catalog of hits, Grant's artistry has resonated with audiences since she first hit the national spotlight three decades ago as a fresh-faced teen with a guitar. Her latest album, Somewhere Down the Road was released in March. Smith, with 44 GMA Dove Awards, three Grammys and more than 15 million in record sales, is considered one of the most influential artists in Contemporary Christian music. His latest album, Wonder, was released in September 2010. The two will perform separately as well as participate in each other's sets.

Wonderful, uplifting, spiritual concert. These two are terrific compliments to each other. Perfect setting for their music. Loved the band with them both.

We went to this concert not really knowing much about the artists. We were meeting up with a friend... who LOVES Amy Grant. The music was good, if I hadn't been told it was Christian rock I might not have known. We couldn't make out most of the words to the songs. But we did enjoy the music. Seats were nicely centered, although in row S, quite a way back.

They both have beautiful voices and the songs were lovely; however, the event was not described as ONLY Christian music.

It was good, but wasn't worth the hastle. Buy tickets, drive from OC, pay $20 to park, fight traffic. Like Amy Grant said, "I would have been better off staying home, in bed, watching TV with a glass of wine". Michael W Smith brought up the rating.
