Atomic Dogg Magazine is hosting the Nationals dog show at the Shrine Expo Center in Los Angeles, where they will be announcing the number one American Bully of the nation. This event will feature 124 vending/kennel booths, food and live out-door music from rock, reggae, Spanish rock, hip hop, live dj's and Spanish hip hop. Also, a special guest will be announced.

WOW, we had no idea that such a "cult", (for lack of better word) existed. These dogs were, well like something from "X-Files", really unbelievable. Glad we went, but my gut tells me, I'll pass on next years show. I just feel I got lucky that I didn't get bitted by these beast from hell that were roaming about so freely. Don't get me wrong, I love all animals, but these things were not of this earth!!
did not like it. the shrine was to small for an event like that one. to many people all over each other. to much dog shit all over.

Well, I didn't think the event was well organized and there was no water bowls for dogs. The set up inside the building was a bit cramp between booth and not enough walking space. Also, they didn't allow you to walk around with your dog inside the buidling. There's no speakers set up outsdie and if you were waiting for the show competition, you wouldn't be able to hear the announcement and that happened to me until I so happened to walk inside the building.
This was rediculous!! We waited in line from when the show was supposed to open at 9am until close to 11am before they opened the doors. Two hours behind schedule with no explanation? We counted a total of 5 vendors, everyone else was trying to sell their retired breeding pit bulls. On top of that we paid for an extra dog ticket so we could bring our dog into the show. When we got there they still didn't allow dogs in the convention center. All dogs, not for sale in a booth, HAD to be kept outside in the parking lot!! Why bother? At least they had adequate security, we were stopped 3 times while taking the dog outside. They had plenty of armed guards and plain clothes police walking around. We would have been safe had a gang fight or fight dog competition broke out!!This was a total waste of money!!! Unless you're looking to buy somewhat hagard looking, most likely agressive breeding stock (a lot of them had scars on their heads) skip this show!! I'm upset that I contributed any money to an event that supports this kind of environment.
The best Bully Expo I've been to. Great range of top-name dogs there. Good job! Only suggestion is that there should have been a wider variety of food vendors present.
We thought this would be a show where dogs were being shown. There was a ring in the middle - but no way to push through the crowd to actually see the dogs.
The fact that they were frisking every male who entered and that it smelled of dirty dog should have been a warning.
It was geared toward a very specific crowd. Not typical dog show.
this was the most horribly run dog show i've ever been to. the staff was incredibly rude ... if you're going to have a dog show, it would be nice to have staff that were friendly towards dogs.
i would not recommend this event to anyone. it was poorly mapped out. there was no information on what time the dogs were to be shown. the parking was horrendous. there was no clean-up crew, therefore there was dog feces and urine everywhere for lengthy amounts of time. there was just poor communication with the staff in general.
all in all i am very disappointed in my experience here. this is the first goldstar event that i attended and its not looking likely that i will attend another one in the near future. i am definately greatful that i didnt have to pay full price for such a poorly run event.
My daughters and I loved seeing the dogs at the Atomic Dogg Super Bully Dog Show, and all the people were very nice, too. I was VERY glad we didn't pay full price (for 3 it would have been too much). The music was incredibly loud and mostly hip-hop despite the description, so we were glad we didn't bring our dog. The food was only a concession stand - mostly hot dogs (appropriate!) and nachos - stuff like that.
If you are worried about the dogs and people being tough or scary, do not be concerned at all. This was truly a family event, the music was all edited like on the radio, and the dogs were all so sweet! Everyone was just there to show their dogs and were fun and friendly!
If you are looking to buy a pure-bred pit, this is a great place to see the parents and puppies and their temperament.
I really enjoyed the dog show. The only bad thing about it is they charge too much to bring a dog in...
The Atomic Dogg Super Bully Show caters to a family orientated audience interested in pedigree type dog shows for the American pit-bull terrier breeds and American Bully Breeds. The creators of the magazine focus on the positive aspects of the breed attempting to derail the negative stereotypes associated with the dog. Through upcoming events, the hope is that we can achieve this goal to portray a positive light on this breed by showing proper training & education.
