The Groundlings presents The Completely Different Late Show, a wild improv explosion by the cast of the Groundlings' Main Company. Audience suggestions are taken throughout the night for improvised scenes to be performed by the best in the business. It's also a testing ground for brand new material that may be headed for the Groundlings' main show. Famous alumni include Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartman, Pat Morita, Lisa Kudrow and Paul Reubens, who created his Pee-wee Herman character there. You never know -- every week, it's an all-new comedy experience. Learn More

Great group of comic actors!! Very funny material. All the many sketches had good pay-offs but maybe two. Only complaint is the looong black-outs between skits for wardrobe and minor set changes. It loses the comic energy and frustrates the audience. Needs something inventive/entertaining to listen to in the dark that is not just vamping music. Not that the musicians aren't good. Maybe they should intentionally butcher classic songs for humor. Needs something there.Written on Aug 30 2010
But other than that..it's a wonderfully funny show!!!

Sold-out show with 730pm "start time", but they kept everyone packed in Hot lobby until nearly 740pm--uncomfortable and unnecessary. Skits were uneven--seemed to be driven by 1 joke each. Improv sessions were great--especially the Starbucks "letter game" twosome. Long Act 1. Have seen many shows at Groundlings before..this one definitely not my favorite.Written on Aug 23 2010

I LOVED this event!! I was laughing so much my boyfriend kept "shhh" me!! I had no idea what to expect when I bought tickets to this show!! I had read good reviews about the Groundlings Theatre!! I am hooked now!! I was so impressed with the talent. I am in the medical field so it is hard for me to even imagine performing... but these actors make it look so easy!! Can't wait to keep coming back.Written on Jan 03 2011
