Gritty, feisty, dark and fun, Bouncers is as relevant and poignant in Hollywood today as it was in Edinburgh when first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1984. Five actors not only portray the Bouncers of a Yorkshire, England disco club, but the disco's patrons, both male and female, as well.

Great show! When I first read the description, the plot didn't grab me but we went anyway. I'm glad we did. It was full of energy and surprising moments of touching character depth. I will go again with other friends so they can see how fun it was. Also its hard to believe the actors can play so many different parts so well but they do. They are very physical with constant dancing, fighting and other things to but they make it all work beautifully. Bravo!
No plot, but a fun time.
The play is at a wonderful venue and starts the moment you try to enter the door. Anyone whose had or imagined having a run in with a bouncer should find this play interesting and entertaining. The play requires a vigorousness and flexibility that all of the actors are up to. I highly recommend the play as well as the restaurant just next door.
Clever, funny, and superbly performed.
the poster was the best thing about the show. it had it's moments, but we ended up walking out. the actors performance was good, the material they had to work with fell short of entertaining.
The versatile and accomplished ensemble transform and transition in seconds as they sing, dance, and guide the audience through a typical night at the club, and all the angst, hormones, laughs, boredom, melodrama and seediness the dark, dank, place-to-be seen disco serves up.
Bouncers has flourished in the over two decades since its creation with professional productions in London, New York, Los Angeles and all points in-between. A play that appeals to audiences of all ages, with its fast pace, surprises, laughs and ultimately, its true-to-life and timeless story.
