Cheap Trick performed songs from their entire playlist! Early tunes, recent tunes, ballads, rockin tunes, they played it all!! Some of the more memorable numbers were: Ain't that a Shame? California Man, The Flame, Surrender, House is Rockin, I want you to want me, Dream Police, Gonna Raise Hell, Heaven Tonight, If you want my love. Sound quality was great, the stage was 2 tier with an orchestra on the upper tier including horns, & strings. The riser between the two tiers had video....both pre-recorded & live feed from the band & audience, as well as behind the orchestra & band. At the end they had 2 confetti cannons!! (FUN!). Their music was simply fun & rockin all night long!! First time I've seen them live....will DEFINITELY go again!

I was in high school when Cheap Trick was popular, and I often wonder if these bands reminisce about thirty years ago during the performance, as probably much of the attendees like me do. They put on a very good show. I was surprised that there was no encore tune, but given the residential area that the Greek Theatre is in, the "10 'o' Clock curfew is probably seriously adhered to. Had a real good time ! Thanks a lot to Nederlander Concerts for letting in some of the area's unemployed people in at a reduced rate rate with these tickets . . .

Description

More than thirty years after the release of the internationally acclaimed album Dream Police, Cheap Trick is staging a show featuring songs from the platinum record. The Bombastic Symphonic Philharmonic with Rhythmic Noise Mind Choir in 4D will perform alongside these and other hits from Cheap Trick's extensive catalog.

"Dream Police was the first record where we felt the songs were well-suited for orchestration; that was a very expansive time for us musically," says bassist Tom Petersson.

"Since then, we've been fortunate to work with several world-class orchestras -- live and in the studio," adds lead vocalist Robin Zander," and after 36 years together, our band is thrilled to have an opportunity to present our songs -- both new and old -- with an orchestra and a unique state-of-the-art  production."

Cheap Trick formed in the city of Rockford, IL in 1974. The multi-platinum band has sold over 20 million albums and had numerous hits including "Surrender," "I Want You to Want Me" and "The Flame."
