Start off your weekend right with Los Angeles Dodgers baseball. Now under new management, the Dodgers have been making high-profile deals to become one of baseball's top teams. The Dodgers signed Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Zack Greinke in December. He'll be playing alongside such stars as Adrian Gonzalez, Hanley Ramirez and Carl Crawford, all of whom joined the team in mid-2012, as well as long-time Dodgers Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Clayton Kershaw. The new lineup promises lots of fireworks on the field -- and Friday night games also feature a spectacular fireworks display in the skies over the stadium. Learn More

Written on Jul 08 2012We were excited to see this game and enjoy the fireworks afterwards. We are unfamiliar with the will-call process and walked around for almost a half hour trying to find out where to get out tickets. We got our tickets and found our seats. Pretty cool, that it was the last row in the Loge Box MVP...close to concessions and restrooms. Only downfall was that the ceiling above blocked our view of the live screen...and to our dismay, would also block the fireworks show after the game, since we had no open sky above us. Two other guests came in and sat next to us and had also said out loud that they wouldn't be able to see the fireworks. We all kinda chuckled. The younger gal said, "Goldstar?" And, we said yes.
The game was awesome. We could see the field really well. And the military personnel marched in a rolled out an American flag that covered the entire field. What a great tribute for this 4th of July. The Dodgers won 4-1. We hightailed it to our car to avoid the crowds and watched the fireworks from the parking lot and then started driving out before the end of the display. It was a good night.
