Whew...it was a hot, hot day. The race itself was fun, but really really difficult without someone standing by, a phone call away, looking the clues up on google as the capabilities of our cellphone internet search function was not sufficient. It was still a neat experience and I would do it again.

Despite the insane heat that day, we had a good time. CityRace asks a series of questions about a defined particular part of Los Angeles and your team must run around to answer them - so you learn things you did not know about that area and also get a workout. This particular version also directed teams to locate hidden "keys" throughout the race in order to open a prize box. I did not enjoy this race as much as their Chinatown race (the only other one I've done), since the questions were more esoteric and not easily solved without benefit of internet searches. By contrast, one could solve nearly all the Chinatown race questions by looking around carefully or asking people. But we still had fun and learned a lot.

This was our first race, and we definitely consider it to be a practice run, since we didn't really know what to expect. Now that we do, we'll definitely be doing another one.
