Had a real good time. The interesting part of the experience is that the people that run it have established a real family, friendly atmosphere.

There were 8 of us and all but 1 enjoyed the show and will go back to see another show.
It was reminiscent of the former Lasarium at Griffith Park and although I did like the one at the observatory better with the domed ceiling as the screen, I found this enjoyable as well. I agree with the other reviewer who suggested that anyone who did not like the show might not have been as stoned as some of the other enthusiastic attendees. Be careful if you are one who partakes in funny brownies as the police are out in full force on this stretch of Hollywood Blvd.

Tips:
-Get seats near the middle if possible and as far back as possible to see the show.
-Bring your own food and beverage, etc. Although reasonably priced the snack bar does not serve alcohol.
-The theater is old so if you come expecting the comforts of new seats, etc. you will be disappointed.

I've read several of the reviews that others have posted and it appears that I'm in the minority.

I remember going to the Laserium at Griffith Observatory and being amazed and awed by what I saw. It was impressive! I guess times have changed and my expectations are much higher now.

Several reviewers suggested that you have to be stoned to enjoy the laserium experience. If that's what it takes I guess I should've passed since I'm not the type to partake of such things.

So I guess my recommendation is as follows:

If you are stoned or want to get stoned, go to Laserium, you'll enjoy the show. Otherwise, just stay home and watch the incredible visuals that iTunes can do with your own playlist.

This was a great blast from the past. I used to watch the Laserium show as a teenager at the Griffith Observatory, so this show brought back a lot of good memories. There are some improvements over the old show: you no longer have to stare at the ceiling, the lasers are a bit better and more dynamic and there is now some image projection on the screens. I recommend sitting no further forward than the center of the theatre, because a lot of the lasers make patterns on the ceiling as well as the screens in front of you. Also be aware: the whole show is only done with lasers. There are no LED projections or any other of the cool gadgets we've become used to seeing at rock concerts. Just lasers, so it can seem a little limited at times, but overall a great show. It's also really cool to hear Dark Side of the Moon with a good sound system and loud; you can actually hear all the nuances in the music and they're punctuated by the light show.
