The El Capitan transforms into a snowy wonderland, providing plenty of thrills and chills this holiday season with its exclusive prerelease of the animated comedy-adventure, Disney's Frozen 3D, five days before it hits theaters. There's tons of cool stuff before the movie starts, too, including Images in Ice, a dynamic new ice-carving performance, and a live visit from Frozen stars Anna and Elsa. The exciting new 3D movie, from Walt Disney Animation Studios (Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph), finds fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven on a quest to track down her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), who's trapped the kingdom in an eternal winter. But Anna and Kristoff have to make it through Mount Everest-like ice and snow, and meeting mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf if they want to save the kingdom. The soundtrack boasts music from Tony-winner Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit). Learn More

I never miss the OUTFEST opening night at the amazing Orpheum theatre in Downtown LA... It is the best party in town. Free booze from their sponsor Absolut, gourmet foodlies from great restaurants around town, and a well dressed, hip, celeb-filled crowd. This year featured an awards presentation for filmmaker Kimberley Peirce ("Boys Don't Cry", "Stop-Gap" and the upcoming "Carrie"), and the opening night film this year was the wonderful "C.O.G.", by writer-director Kyle Patrick Alvarez, based on the David Sedaris short story from the book "Naked". The film was great, and starred Jonathan Groff, Dennis O'Hare, and Cory Stoll, who were all in attendance, as well as Dean Stockwell. Great cast, and wonderful and heartfelt adaptation by Kyle Alvarez, (who also directed the acclaimed "Easier with Practice"). "C.O.G." is the first adaptation of a David Sedaris story. It will be released in theaters in September. Don't miss it!
OUTFEST is a wonderful event, celebrating the diversity of LGBT film, and is attended by everyone, not just the gay crowd. Many of the events are not kid-friendly, but they do have a couple family events for everyone, so check the schedule for the appropriate crowd, because some of the films do deal with adult themes and material. But, for 11 days in July, OUTFEST tells the stories no one else does, about the LGBT community and their families and friends, and you owe it to yourself to check them out. Most events are held at the Directors Guild in Hollywood, but there are also evens held at the RedCat, The John Anson Ford, and other locations near and around Hollywood. I am next attending the sing-a-long "Pitch Perfect" at The Ford, outdoors! I went to "Hairspray" last year, and It should be a blast!
The General Admission Gala Ticket includes unassigned rear balcony seating for the film and admission to the opening night after-party with an open bar.
Film's run time is 88 minutes.
C.O.G. cast includes Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars), Corey Stoll (House of Cards), Denis O’Hare (True Blood), Casey Wilson (Happy Endings), Dean Stockwell (Blue Velvet) and Dale Dickey (Winter’s Bone).
