Founding members of the Southern rock band Drive-By Truckers Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley perform an intimate set and discuss their songwriting as part of the GRAMMY Museum's Americana Music series. Originally from The Shoals region of Alabama, Hood and Cooley draw on a diverse set of influences while paying tribute to their Southern roots to craft their distinctive and critically acclaimed sound. With the dissonant, grungy guitars of Neil Young and the booze-soaked swagger of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Drive-By Truckers make concept albums of epic scope, while individual songs bring to life tales of hardscrabble American life. Since their 2001 breakthrough album, Southern Rock Opera, the band has released eight albums and collaborated with everyone from Bettye LaVette to Booker T. Jones. Their latest, English Oceans, was recorded over 13 days with longtime producer David Barbe, and finds Hood and Cooley firing on all cylinders. Learn More

Intimate evening with Country music star singer/songwriter Lee Brice. Entertaining inside look at his past, current music, and future album release. His voice was strong and clear in live indoor setting. The Grammy Museum is a wonderful place to visit and see entertainers.
