Dave Frishberg is a highly original-if reticent talent. Always a treat to hear him play and listen to his lyrics. Have to admit to more than a small amount of disappointment in that he had not done a sufficient job of preparing for the show. Specifically shown in many missed lyrics and no real purpose as structure. He just sort of went-along with whatever came to mind. Perhaps it's a matter of his age-but don't think so. Very clever with the ad-lib. Perhaps he's just lazy as exemplified in his single encore; "I want to be a side-man"

First-class performance. He's a great pianist and his witty lyrics are superb. I look forward to hearing him again.
