In the latest comic meditation from renowned playwright Murray Mednick, The Fool and the Red Queen experiments with archetypes to explore human nature and the processes of theater. A struggling actor named Gary finds himself at a nightmarish audition where the audience discovers the magical ability of the theater to create new realities -- in this case, a darkly funny and improvised play-within-a-play similar to Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Marie and Bruce. Driven by poetic impulse rather than linear storytelling, The Fool and the Red Queen is a ruefully funny, lyrical look at the theater and the natural elements that drive us all. Learn More

A glimpse of what some teachers go through. A very touching story that will have you talking about it after the show.Written on Feb 25 2012

My husband went to this show with mixed ideas. He thought a 1 man show would be very difficult to do. He came away having totally enjoyed and still amazed that Braxton was able to do it. I, being a retired teacher, totally enjoyed it too. I will recommend this to my fellow teachers and friends. Braxton put his whole being into this play. It was great.Written on Mar 20 2012

This is a very intense show, especially if you are a teacher! So well performed by Aaron! My only criticism is that because he works so hard, he sweats so profusely that it is distracting. Maybe a towel and shirt change would be in order?Written on Apr 02 2012

This was by far the very best One-Man Show I have ever seen! Braxton is brilliant and believable. My 14 year old son was skeptical about attending such a small venue, but he too found it very entertaining and I even saw his eyes tear up during a very emotional scene. I plan to see it again with friends this weekend!Written on Feb 28 2012
