The performances were very good. There was an air of politics from most of the musicians that I didn't care for. It got so bad that the performer before Carlos Santana was offensive to me and I left before Santana went on. I will never go to that type of event again. I did sit next to Gloria Molina whom I had met over twenty years ago and we had a nice conversation. For a politician, she did not come off political.Written on Aug 18 2010

This was more of a political event than a fund raiser entertainment. One of the bands was supposed to be heavy metal, was very loud and very bad. Santana, as always, was very good. Some politicains, including the mayor of Los Angeles and some congresswoman took the stage and made speeches. In any case, since I stay away from politics, if I had known any better, I would not have attended the event.Written on Jan 18 2011

Great benefit concert, Dolores Huerta truly shows her interest in helping others until the end. Lila Downs and Carlos Santana and others performances were awesome. Thank you for having an event so well organized, meaninful and fun too.Written on Aug 17 2010

Enjoyed the Benefit Concert and believe in the cause, but could have done without the Mayor making up another excuse to make an appearance on my dime. I am a city worker.Written on Aug 17 2010
