I have had the Witching Hour CD since it came out and love it! I was happy to see that it would be performed live with most of the original people involved in the project. The show was so much fun for the whole family! I really hope this becomes an annual event because I know so many people I would like to bring along next time that would really enjoy it. The CD is enjoyable on its own, but performed live with all the people involved, the music, acting, costumes, makeup, and humor was a treat. Thanks to all involved because it was a very enjoyable time and even people seated next to me that had not heard the CD before became instant fans and loved the show! And the escaped Devil Doll cage display outside was a fun conversation piece--especially asking younger kids if they've seen the escaped Devil Doll in the bushes ;)Written on Oct 25 2010

A wonderful show on many levels. The music and songs are crafted little masterpieces of Halloween fun combined with a superb coterie of singer/actors who brought such life to this terrifically quirky perfect holiday program. The stories, on the same level of writing as Poe, Hawthorne, and Stoker, read like prose. I would only say that I think children should be at least 8 years old as the show is, appropriately, spooky. Hoping for a repeat performance next Halloween as this reeks of tradition.Written on Nov 07 2010

More Information About Eban Schletter's Witching Hour
Description
Witching Hour is full of Vincent Price-style monologues, swinging electric organs and foggy bassoons.
The show is partly a tribute to Schletter's Bay Area childhood, which he spent watching Bob Wilkins' late-night Creature Features on KTVU. He wanted to create a record recalling the mist-filled supernatural thrillers of his youth, but also drew on a number of other influences: kids' music from the 1940s and '50s, Edgar Allan Poe and the "nonsense poetry" of Eugene Field while writing his 22 tracks.
