More Details

Flashback to the Summer of Love was imagined by EPYSO Music Director Maestro Phillip Gabriel Garcia because of his great admiration of the Beatles music and to commemorate the BEATLES 40th Anniversary.  Maestro Garcia has encouraged his students to merge their symphonic skills with other genres of music, so the brilliance of the Beatles was the next logical step in the maturing of their musical talents.  Fronting the orchestra in full Sergeant Peppers costume is the El Paso band Flashback whose musicians are also members of the EPYSO and whose front man Jose Rios is the current conducting apprentice of Maestro Garcia, and is also a collaborator for this event. Louie Yanez is a Las Vegas performer who be Sgt Pepper and will also sing many tunes with Flashback and the El Paso Progressive Orchestra Project-El Paso Pops.
