Hosted by TV and radio personalities Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla, Prima Notte is a star-studded fund-raising gala featuring some of the city's most prominent Italian-Americans and dignitaries joining together in support of The San Gennaro Foundation. The evening will include special live performances, Italian food, carnival rides, a charity auction and more.

For what it was hyped up to be for $100.00 a couple event it was very disappointing. It was supposed to start at 5:00 Pm but most of the food booths were not open. some booths didn't start until almost 6:15 PM and even then when wanted to purchase food items only a few items were available. Most said they will have more choices starting on Friday. you were restrict ted to where you could sit and most of the people were pushed back into the corners at long tables. It was not made none at the time of purchase that you were treated differently than others since they paid the same price as us. The itinerary did not match what was going on and did not seem to follow any schedule. I will not attend this event next year unless someone can convince me that things will be better!

Not worth $50.00, there were no real celebrities present except for Adam Corolla and Jimmy Kimmel. The food was horrible, and the pavement in the back lot is a mess. My heels kept getting stuck in the holes. As an Italian, I was very embarrassed to be at the function. They portrayed the culture very poorly, it's not really like that in Italy!!!!!
Nothing started on time and there were very few people there. The event was very average and certainly not an event I would attend again.
FUN, especially if you are Italian, and, or from an area of the U.S. that was Italiano/famglia.
GOOD food, good fun.

Much less crowded than going an a open to the public weekend day.
Inspired by the 78-year-old New York City tradition, the Feast of San Gennaro celebrates Italian culture, entertainment and cuisine with a weekend of great food, music, genealogy research, a Kids' Corner, bocce, bingo, carnival rides, games and more. Surprise celebrity guests will join cooking team Filippo and the Chef as they demonstrate Italian recipes on the Precious Cheese Cooking Stage with Precious Cheese Chef Mark Sciortino.
For the festival's opening gala, master of ceremonies Mark DeCarlo will introduce special performances by Cristina Fontanelli, Joey Gian, Tony O, Alfio, Deana Martin and the Pat Longo Orchestra. Music legend Jerry Vale will receive the San Gennaro Foundation's Italian Heritage Award, and Robert Barbera, publisher of the L’Italo-Americano newspaper, celebrating its 100th anniversary, will receive the San Gennaro Foundation's Humanitarian Award.
The evening’s charity auction will feature round-trip airfare from the U.S. to Italy; luxury vacations to New York City and Miami’s South Beach; VIP package to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"; golfer’s vacation to Arizona’s Sonoran high desert; autographed poster and tickets to "Dancing with the Stars"; autographed guitars from Madonna, Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones; autographed NFL helmets from Peyton and Eli Manning and Brett Favre; and more.
All proceeds will benefit the San Gennaro Foundation, an established 501c3 nonprofit organization.
