Set at the dawn of the Great Recession, this vaudevillian romp asks the question, "Does humanity have an expiration date?" While six hungry urbanites scramble for sustenance and cook up schemes for love and success, the beasts of agribusiness close in bringing of corruption and consumption. This provocative play looks at American enterprise and ingenuity at the beginning of the Obama age and wonders if there really is a viable alternative to capitalism. More Information About Fever
Description
Fever takes place during the last days of Disco as a film company is shooting a musical in Hollywood’s Griffith Park when the star, Mia, refuses to marry her co-star in a studio arranged publicity wedding. Instead Mia runs off with a Spanish gigolo for a secret wedding in the woods. Mia is chased by her producer, her father, her co-star and her best friend where they all collide with a band of supernatural forest creatures in a hilarious madcap mix-up of mystery and magic in a forest of love. Fever is written by South Gate Stage director, Howard Dando.
