The show it self is a Show Stopper! The staging, customs, music were great and better than great was the performers. Each played their character to the fullest and the escape of entertainment that shows are supposed, this delivers.Written on May 23 2011
Because of the closeness of the performance, excitement and beauty of the performers & song is well worth it. Especially the closing numbers of the Moulin Rouge. I was lucky to inter react with some of the performers.
Once the show begins, it roars with some some gentle songs and moments.
Even though the show is billed Moulin Rouge, it really is featuring songs from other Baz's features which is act 1. I am not going to spoil this with more details. Take a chance, let yourself go and be ready to be wowed.
The Show at Barre is a tight fit and this makes the energy & excitement easily experience by the audience. Yet, depending on seating, some parts are hard to see and enjoy. Still, the show is all over the venue.
So heed the warning, get there early and choice your seating wisely. Some people arrived nearly at show time, even with a 20 minute delay start, and ended up at the back of the venue. After show, wander into the adjacent venue for an after show drink and enjoy the eye candy there. That is also worth it.
This is going to close soon, don't miss it. If my time allows, I'll be back.

This is one of those experiences where I literally don't want to share how great it is because I'm worried too many people will catch on and tickets (esp. at Goldstar prices!) won't be available any longer. Literally one of the most fun, unique nights my wife and I and our group have had in LA in years. Think dinner cabaret meets a David Fincher movie. It's energetic, in your face, a bit naughty, kinda dark, and the band and performers are devilishly good. All have Broadway pedigrees. So seriously, why isn't this a West Coast De La Guarda?Written on Jan 25 2012
Also, the food and drinks at Barre are top notch (though expensive). Show up early and treat yourself!
