Pull out those skinny ties and baggy pants for this celebration of all things '80s. The totally tubular cover band 80-Do unleashes lead singer Kandi on great songs like "Love Shack," "99 Red Balloons" and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." But hair metal and New Wave is also well-represented with guitar-driven hits from Journey, Billy Idol, Bon Jovi and beyond, as well as The Cure, Depeche Mode and Oingo Boingo. And no '80s band worth its Ray-Bans would leave out the pop highlights of Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna. Learn More

This show is a lot of fun for Tarantino fans and for those who just love good music. The band is very talented and a multitude of fantastic singers shared the stage. You definitely feel engaged when the music starts. The venue itself is the bar section of a restaurant. It is tightly packed with tables, and a little claustrophobic. I felt it would have been more enjoyable if there was a little more room to breathe. A full menu is served although it is somewhat overpriced. There is a good, music club-like vibe going on there. Despite the pretentious name "Barre" instead of bar, and a laundry list of overcomplicated fruity cocktails, this show was a great way to spend an evening. The only issue was parking, allow yourself at least a half hour prior to the show. There are a couple good sized $5 lots around the corner, but they seem to fill up quickly. Although it says that no late admittance is allowed, the show started late and I had no problem getting in.
