The place was not at all what I expected. Let's just say it was very "intimate." It was very small, odd L-shaped, old looking, had fold out chairs as seating, small little bar in the back. Parking was $7. You could park on the streets, but park at your own risk! I felt more comfortable paying the $7. I purchased these tickets online for $10 a piece, but when I got there, they just let us right in, didn't ask for any i.d. or ticket printout. Which is great but that means I could have gotten in for free. Comedianne Luenell was awesome. She made it worth every second. Comedian Ron G. was also hilarious. We got to meet Garret Morris himself. Very down to earth and funny man. I got to take a photo with Luenell. Laughed my butt off the entire time. Very laid back and diverse crowd. Good times!

I enjoyed the event. All star comedy line-up. The location is a work in progress, but very quaint. Must be willing to look past the current asthetics of the location. I laughed my butt off....had a blast. Got to meet the owner since it was such a small crowd....what a treat! Garret Morris is great and I love what he is trying to do for the Downtown L.A. community!

The club was temporarily moved across the street. It was an empty store front set with folding chairs. My guess is the regular club must be a step up.

The comedians did their thing - some good, some bad (which is funny in it's own way). This venue works for the hearty soul who isn't scared to be in a seedy part of town, two blocks from parking. Garrett and his crew were wonderfully nice, warm and accessible.

I went to one previously but at the Wilshire Grand Hotel on 7th and Fig and had a wonderful time. This venue was a much smaller place. As one other reveiwer said, they did not ask for ID or my tickets. They just let me in. This time, the comedians were not funny.

The location is a work in progress but nonetheless we had a great time because the comedy was Great! The owner is the first to great you up on stage and he creates a very intimate environment. The drinks are $3.00 so that was also a plus!

There is no will call at the door so you just have to tell them you are a goldstar memeber or have your ticket confirmation printed out.

I had read the reviews before going to the Club, so I knew what to expect before entering. The location is small however I rather enjoyed the intimate setting. I did meet Garrett Morris who was gracious and also the club's owners/managers. All were very good people had a great time! There was only one comedian out of many that was not funny but for the most part, I laughed my butt off! I recommend this place--expect the intimate setting and have a great time!

It was a mix of good and just okay comedians. It was also uncomfortably hot inside, but the decor and staff were cool.

I enjoyed myself at the event, Garret and the rest of the comedians made everyone laugh. They air conditioning unit needs a tune up, but other wise I like the vintage building and the owner was cool.

      The comedians were great!
The sound system wasnt the best.... although they said they'd just moved to be building so that could be the reason.
And the decor left something to be desired.
But the atmosphere in there was great!
Overall really good. I'd go back.

Like the other person said" It's a work in Progress."
I liked the comedian who look like a Homeless Guy, very funny! My Girlfriend couldn't stop laughing at this man, tears were running down her face! Garrett Morris was "great" He did some comedy also, and he met and greeted people. My girlfriend and I spoke with him and he didn't mind taking a picture with us. The seats were hard, cozy place.

We went with two other friends. The area is not great. Park around the corner. HOWEVER, the lot closed at 11:00 pm and the show wasn't over. We had to leave. The first three acts were not great. The last two were terrific. It was worth waiting for them. The chairs are uncomfortable, but the owner promised new chairs soon. They need them! It was a fun evening.

    September 18-19: Charles Cozart

Whether he’s performing on The Tonight Show or killing them at New York’s legendary Apollo Theater, this veteran of the world of entertainment continues to gain notoriety while performing stand-up comedy, in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and all of the top night clubs across the U.S.

Charles is also a top notch musician. One of his most recent projects, Dope-Jazz Motion, is an independent Charles Cozart project based on the idea of bringing an original, modern, biting jazz-based sound conforming to the ideals of improvisation, in-pocket groves, and chilled vocal expressions.

    September 25-26: Adam Hunter

Adam Hunter is one of the hottest young comedians around today. He is full of exciting energy that makes the crowd go wild. He headlines all over the country, putting his heart and soul into every performance with an act that is brash, deep and most importantly funny. Adam is one of the hardest working comics around, performing every night of the week, usually 2 or 3 shows a night. His act is universal, night after night, Adam delivers a powerful message that keeps audiences on the edges of their seats.

    October 2-3: Shawn Pelofsky

Raised as one of ten Jews in Oklahoma, Shawn moved to Southern California to live with the rest of the Hebrews.  With a theater degree from USC, a background in sketch comedy and improv, this stand-up comedienne has been entertaining audiences all over the world. Truly a star waiting to shine, Shawn's credits include:  E! October 9-10: Beth Sherman and Tracy Locke

Beth Sherman is a staff writer for "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." She has Emmy nominations for her writing work on "Late Show With David Letterman" and "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." She's also written for Comedy Central, HBO and National Public Radio. As a comic she's performed at clubs and colleges all over the country.

Tracy Locke burst onto the stand-up comedy scene in 2004 with her "Knock Out" Comedy! Her keen observations, smart writing and a cadre of dead-on eclectic characters, allows Tracy to take the audience on a thoroughly engaging, interactive, high-energy, hysterical ride through her life. Not afraid to get dirty or talk dirty- from exploring the jungles of Cambodia to tackling a 200 lb linebacker for the WNFL - Tracy Locke has done it all. An athelete, traveler, single-woman and sports fanatic- Tracy takes the audience on a hysterical journey - introducing all the crazy characters she's met along the way. Her high-energy, un-apologetic wit keeps you on your toes and rolling in the aisles as she shares her observations and insights on sports, sex, dating, telemarketers, and growing up 'normal'?

    October 16-17: Eleanor J. Kerrigan

Eleanor J. Kerrigan is the latest in a long line of historically funny women who cut their teeth at the World Famous Comedy Store. Starting out as a waitress there, Eleanor learned the ropes of comedy, all the while making the best comics in the country laugh, in the kitchen of the club. It would take several years and lots of pushing from one of her biggest fans, Andrew Dice Clay, to finally get her to take her comedic talents to the stage. After co-starring with him in “Dice Undisputed”, Dice invited Eleanor to go on the road with him to promote the show. “I’m an actress not a stand up!” she replied. After seeing her one woman show, Andrew would no longer take no for an answer. “You’re hysterical and everyone should know that!” he said, and Eleanor’s been performing stand up in clubs and theaters around the country ever since.

Her hilarious take on life comes from her unique experiences growing up street-savvy in South Philly, as one of 10 children in a very Irish-Catholic family. She paints an uproarious portrait of her life experiences, beginning with her childhood in a three bedroom row home and moving to her adventures as an adult living in L.A... Eleanor’s shoot-from-the-hip take on life is both refreshing and exciting. She’s not afraid to give the audience a piece of her mind and they love her for it.

Eleanor is also a graduate of the esteemed Joanne Baron and D.W. Brown acting studio in Santa Monica, California, following in the footsteps of acting greats such as Halle Berry and Patrick Dempsey. She’s had audiences rolling as one of the motorcycle riding, pool cue wielding tag team called “Harley’s Angels” on UPN’s “Women of Wrestling” and has made countless appearances on other major networks such as Nickelodeon and VH1.

(October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  A portion of the proceeds from this show will go to fight breast cancer.)

    October 23-24: Marla Schultz

Currently you can find Marla Schultz touring the country opening for Chelsea Handler, star of E! Entertainment’s “Chelsea Lately.”

In addition you can catch Marla Schultz on Oxygen’s top rated syndicated show, “Girls Behaving Badly” where she served as a co-host/cast member for two seasons playing everything from a prank-pulling waitress serving breast milk to coffee house regulars to a manager hiring temps to fire their co-workers.

Marla Schultz also starred as herself on E! Entertainment Television’s “The Entertainer” with Wayne Newton. Ten contestants competed to be Wayne Newton’s opening act. When Marla’s mother found out that Wayne Newton recently filled for bankruptcy, she said “I guess he was hoping the show would do something for his career. You’re not the only one who got nothing.” Thanks Mom.

Marla Schultz began her standup career in New York City where she is a regular at The Comic Strip, Gotham Comedy Club and Caroline’s. When in Los Angeles, where she now resides, you can catch Marla at the The Comedy Union, Ice House and the Improv. The Manhattan Association of Cabarets/MAC Awards nominated Marla Schultz as outstanding female comedian and she is a member of the Friars Club.
