Girl Authority is a group of nine girls (ages 10-15) each with an individual "identity" that ties in with their personalities. They go to school, are Girl Scouts, cheerleaders, play sports, play instruments, have fun sleep over parties -- and just happen to make hit records in their spare time. Thought the show had wonderful singers but,
the backround music was way above there voices.
These girls had talent!
very talented group
This was an o.k. performance at best. The girls either had very week voices or there was a problem with the amplification. They attempted to get audience participation by yelling dance everyone dance rather then engaging the audience. They were cute young ladies who seemed to be trying hard but appeared to need more rehearsal.
My daughter 9 and her two cousin's 11 and 8 years of age had a great time. It was great that the memebers of "Girls Authority" had the audience interact by dancing, clapping to the beat and singing along. The concert was 1-hour which was perfect for all ages!!!

The Geffen Playhouse is newly renovated, closing for over a year, and re-opening in November of 2005. The renovations are stunning, and provide for improved accoustics and sitelines. In addition to the Main Stage there is now the more intimate Audrey Skirball-Kenis Theater, which will focus on newer works for the Los Angeles community.
