Description
The Harvard Glee Club has been sharing its music with the world beyond Cambridge since the early 20th century. Their famous 1921 tour of Europe prompted composers Darius Milhaud and Frances Poulenc to write for the Glee Club. Touring, as many members and alumni fondly recount, constitutes the core of the HGC experience: bringing their signature sound and repertoire to audiences across the globe, and thereby continuing the rich tradition of men's choral music. Annual spring tours and frequent summer tours have been the primary means by which the Glee Club has earned its international renown in the choral community.

This year, HGC is celebrating its 150th Anniversary in the only way they know how: a massive tour of some of America's largest cities and finest concert halls. Through performances from coast to coast and border to border, the Glee Club will reunite with fans and alumni to sing in acclaimed venues like the Ravinia Festival's Martin Theater outside Chicago, and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Under the direction of conductor Jameson Marvin, associate conductor Kevin Leong, and assistant conductor Michael McGaghie, HGC will sing hallmark works from its 150 years of choral performances. From signature Renaissance polyphony to classic folk songs to contemporary works including Dominick Argento's newly commissioned Apollo in Cambridge triptych, the repertoire will simultaneously honor the Glee Club's storied past and pave the road to another 150 years of musical excellence.
